How do I Feed Sulcata timothy hay pellets? You can offer your tortoise hay pellets dry, however I prefer to soak pellets in water. I add just enough water that the pellets will soak it up without having excess water.
How do I store timothy pellets? So that the hay pellets do not go bad, we prefer storing the pellets in an airtight container, like a dog food container or a smaller tote. Keep the container in a cool, dry place. You can place a bit in the fridge, especially if you are moistening it with water. You can also store the hay pellets in the freezer for up to 12 months. However, I prefer to just leave the pellets in an airtight container and kept dry until I’m ready to use it.
